  		Friday: YMCA of Broome County Captain & Crew Golf Tournament @ 11:30a
Souther Tier Dermatology & Aesthetics will co-sponsor the YMCA Golf Tournament. Registration begins at 11:30am, and the golfing begins at 1:00pm with a shotgun start. The day will end with dinner, drawings and awards. A foursome package is $550.00 and includes golf for four, lunch, dinner, player gift bag with a tournament shirt. An individual package is $100.00 and comes with golf for one, lunch and dinner, gift bag and tournament shirt. The fundraiser will help ensure that the YMCA can provide exceptional day care, summer camp and swimming lessons for kids, along with social activities for senior citizens.

First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City, corner of Main St. and Floral Avenue on Saturday, June 9th from 10:00am until sold out. Selling 1/2 BBQ chicken for $4.50 and dinners for $6.50.

  		Saturday: Show off Your Doggie Show/Proceeds donated to the Humane Society @ Noon
On June 9th the Johnson City Elks are hosting a "Show Your Doggie" Show at 4212 Wastson Blvd., Johnson City, NY 13790. Proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society. Registration is at 12pm. Show starts at 12:30pm. there will be raffles, a basket auction, bake sale and BBQ. Local celebrities will participate in the judging.

  		Saturday: Bake A Difference to Fund a Cure @ 9:30AM - 2:30PM
Your Home Public Library-107 Main Street, Johnson City, NY Together we can bake a difference and help fund a cure for my nephew (Gary Allen Sharp) who is fighting a courageous battle with Leukemia and desperately needs our help to pay for costly treatments. If you are a baker and would like to help by donating baked goods to be sold at the fundraiser-please contact me via email or cell phone: Sandralinns34@yahoo.com 607-621-5553 Please be sure to leave your full name, email address (so I can contact you) the type of baked goods you will be donating and the quantity. Drop off time for all baked good donations is 8:30-9:00am the day of the event. If you are interested in making a monetary donation there will be a secured donation box set up for all monetary donations at the event. Checks can be made payable to Gary A. Sharp. If you would remember to include a small note of encouragement to my Nephew when making your donations it would be much appreciated. Please- come on out and Join us for our first ever Bake a Difference fundraiser-together we can bake a difference.

  		Saturday: The Humane Society's Golf Tournament @ 1PM
The Humane Society 2012 Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, June 16th at Endwell Greens Golf Course. There will be a 1:00pm Shot Gun start, dinner will be held at approximately 5:pm. There will be 50/50 raffles, basket raffles, and more. The fee is $75.00 per person and $300.00 for a four person team and includes 18 holes of gold, riding cart, gift bag, dinner and eligibility to win prizes. Tee hole sponsorship signs are available for $100.00. Phone 724-3709. Dinner only tickets are available for $25.00 per person.

  		Saturday: 9th Annual SouthernTier Fishing Derby @ 7AM - 3PM
At Otsiningo Park, sponsored by the Johnson City Sertoma Club. Fishing registration for carp and bluegill with-in a 50 mile radius of Otsiningo park opens at the park 7:00 am - 11:00 am. Information, rules, & pre-registration online at www.southerntierfishingderby.com

Net proceeds help the Speech & Hearing needs in our community and various local charities. Event includes raffles, food, free kids goodie bag and balloons. All spectators are welcome to join in on the fun. Have your picture taken with derby mascots Johnny Carp and Buddy Bluegill.
